Good Friend can Bring Great Benefits to Your Health

Health-Net: Companions can be obtained from anywhere, from childhood, attending school until the workplace. Not only share the joy, sadness, laughter and good times, good friends can also make you more healthy.

A good friend who can make you both physically, mentally and emotionally. Experts examine even that friendship and social networking can be beneficial to overall health.

A study conducted by the Centre for Ageing Studies at Flinders University, followed almost 1,500 people for 10 years, found that people who have a large network and many friends live longer by 22 percent.

While other studies have shown that people who have fewer friends tend to be more quickly died of a heart attack than people who have strong social networks.

This proves that a good friend can bring great benefits to your health.

1. Can reduce stress
Why do you call your friend when you're a lot of minds? That's because friends can help you reduce your stress level, either because of job stress or stress related, only with warm conversation. Storytelling aka vent with friends is a thing that you need to be able to banish stress hormones.

2. Pass on good habits
If you have a friend who knows the importance of health, they also will give the same good habits in you. Friend is also a brilliant way to make you leave your bad habits such as unhealthy eating habits and lack of exercise. However, bad habits need to be sorted friend who may also be transmitted to you.

3. Give strong support
When you are going through some serious surgery or even treatment of cancer, the most important thing is support. If you have a close friend to guide you through the sad days, the opportunity to improve survival will be even greater.

A study published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology and conducted jointly by the University of California, San Francisco and Berkeley/Harvard Medical School found that women diagnosed with breast cancer are more likely to survive if it has a close friend.

4. Distancing depression
Treatment for depression is friendship. Friendship works like a charm when fighting depression. A 2002 study conducted at Johns Hopkins University found that seniors with an active social life and have many friends unlikely to suffer from depression.

5. Make your move more
People who spend more time in front of the TV or computer mostly because they feel lonely and do not have friends to tell stories. People who have many close friends would prefer to go out, walk or just visit for storytelling. This will make you more moves.
